PAIVATAR MUSIKKI
I first learned to love and listen to music from my Dad – as he played his mandolin while we spent rainy Saturday afternoons in his net house along the Fraser River. As he repaired his fishing nets, he would also tell me stories of his life growing up as a young Sami child in the Kola Peninsula of northern Finland/Russia – Tales of a Sea Sami.
As I grew older I spent many summers traveling with my brother in his bus – with Johnny Cash playing in the cassette deck – to music festivals in western Canada and US – listening and singing along to country and hillbilly folk music.

One of my favourite past times still is to listen to music – to go to festivals and live music performances.
I have been recording many of these music events for the past 10 plus years – on small cameras, old phones etc. So I thought I would edit some of these for others to enjoy as well.
I plan to have a separate Page on this website for each Artist that I record or meet – with links to their music Playlists on my YouTube Channel. as well as other bio information they would like to provide. I hope to also provide links to where you can purchase their recordings.
Paivatar Musikki – CANADA
I have homes both in Canada and the UK, as my children and grandchildren live in different countries.
I currently am in a small village in British Columbia – we do not have fast Fibre Optic broadband – though there are 3 huge cell towers directly above the village. So upload times for each video take about an hour to process. So your patience is appreciated as I can only post a few videos per day.
I will post most of the videos that I have recorded in Canada, once I return to UK – where I have access to fast broadband.
Paivatar Musikki – UK
My other home is in West Sussex, UK. When I am there, I frequent the many pubs of the area that feature Live music in the evenings or Sunday afternoons.
